We secure traditional book publishing deals for authors whose books have strong trade potential and can benefit significantly from a publisher’s backing. Based in Vancouver, we’re associate agents of Toronto’s Transatlantic Agency, giving our authors access to the infrastructure of an established, respected literary agency, including its network of co-agents in 28 foreign territories.
Page Two principals Jesse Finkelstein and Trena White spent thirty years combined working for esteemed book publishers. We have evaluated thousands of book proposals from a publisher’s perspective. We know what sells. We work intensively with our clients to shape their own book ideas and proposals.
We specialize in smart, accessible adult non-fiction that challenges current conceptions, whether through a “big ideas” book or narrative. As with our self-publishing clients, we are drawn to professional writers as well as entrepreneurs and subject matter experts. We get excited about people who are innovators in their fields, writing about current affairs, business, culture, politics, technology, social issues, and women’s issues. We are most interested in authors who have an existing platform. If this sounds like you and you’re hoping to land a book deal, get in touch.
“Jesse and Trena are motivated, talented, smart, culturally sensitive, and trustworthy.”
