David HarperWe are thrilled to share that we are working with Dr. David Harper on his forthcoming book, BioDiet, a science- and evidence-based exploration of the ketogenic diet.

Harper is an associate professor of kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) and a visiting scientist with the BC Cancer Research Centre, where he has been investigating the therapeutic benefits of ketogenic diets for chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Dr. Harper has been following a low carbohydrate diet for six years, and has consequently lost twenty-seven pounds of body fat and attained a biological age half his chronological age. As part of his research, he has counselled hundreds of people, helping them reverse obesity and chronic diseases with consistent, impressive results.

Harper is also on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Institute for Personalized Therapeutic Nutrition, a member of the Canadian Clinicians for Therapeutic Nutrition, CEO of the Discovery Foundation, president of Pacific BioVentures, a technology-based consulting company, and the director of innovation and entrepreneurship at UFV. He is the author of the bestseller Investing in Biotech: How to Profit from the Biopharmaceutical Revolution.

In BioDiet: The Scientifically Proven, Ketogenic Way to Lose Weight, Improve Health and Increase Vitality, the author explains why the ketogenic diet works, why this lifestyle choice is a long-term solution for many chronic illnesses, and how to safely adopt one. BioDiet is set to be released through Page Two Books in March next year.
